I focused on combining the two core pillars upon which the New England Aquarium was founded: exploration and conservation.

Aquariums as Contemporary Exploration Ships
​
Sail ships were some of the earliest ways people experienced our oceans. Much like the traditional exploration ships, aquariums act as a vessel for people today to traverse the wonders of our seas.

Right Whales
​
One of the New England Aquarium's most influential conservation initiatives is the Kraus Marine Mammal Conservation Program, which focuses on efforts to protect the critically endangered North Atlantic right whale.
